With the birth of their first child, Arthur Elijah de Paula Embiid, in September 2020, the couple’s desire of creating a family was realized. As is customary for Embiid, he humorously shared the news via social media.

The NBA player recently discussed parenting and his first season following the birth of his child with Marc Zumoff of NBC Sports Philadelphia. While it was difficult for him to leave his family, he admitted that it was lovely to watch his son develop every day and that being a parent was an amazing experience.

He was forced to sit out the entire 2014–2015 season due to complications from the initial foot operation to fix a navicular bone. He gradually healed, and by the next season, his swift, beautiful movement and rim protection had disproved everyone who had questioned him. In the NBA, he is now a well-known player.
