JoJo Siwa is well on her way to becoming a modern-day scream queen, with a major horror project titled All My Friends Are Dead.
According to Deadline, JoJo Siwa, who previously appeared in two seasons of Dancing Moms, has been cast as the lead alongside Little Fires Everywhere star Jade Pettyjohn. Although the film is still in its early stages, there is something intriguing that may have fans excited about this upcoming thriller. According to rumors, Saw 3D writer Marcus Dunstan will direct All My Friends Are Dead.
Furthermore, Deadline reports that Film Mode owns the project’s foreign rights. The production of the film is set to begin in the spring of this year, with casting already underway. JoJo Siwa, who is only 19 years old, could benefit greatly from this. It has the potential to be the decade’s defining nightmare.
More on All My Friends Are Dead and JoJo Siwa
Although little is known about the upcoming horror film, according to several reports, All My Friends Are Dead will follow in the footsteps of classic horror films, with a group of friends being the main target of a nefarious entity. The group will be led by JoJo Siwa.
The story revolves around a group of friends who book a dirt-cheap Airbnb during the year’s biggest music festival. Although this begins the party on a positive note, the weekend quickly takes a dark turn as the friends are slaughtered one by one. They soon realize that the murders are linked to the seven deadly sins.
Although not particularly inventive at first glance, the developers have a plethora of possibilities with this tried-and-true horror concept. “It’s a dream come true,” JoJo Siwa said of her role in the film.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to appear in the upcoming film “All My Friends Are Dead,…
This is unlike anything I’ve done before, but I enjoy horror films and can’t wait to get started! I’m also looking forward to reuniting with Jade. We used to work together when we were younger, and we’re excited to make this film together.”
John Baldecchi, the man behind smash hits like Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U, will produce the film, along with executive producers Dominic Ianno, Jason Resnick, and Kevin Greutert. They will be joined by Clay Epstein of Film Mode Entertainment and Dan Rubin, CEO of Budding Equity. In addition, the script will be written by Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum.
