Jon Rahm Health Update: What Happened To Him? Golfer Stomach Illness

Jon Rahm

Online rumors about Jon Rahm’s stomach illness are circulating as he enjoys his first Masters’ title. Let’s take a closer look at the golfer’s health issue.

Spanish professional golfer Jon Rahm has been competing since 2016. He competes on the European Tour as well as the PGA Tour. In June 2021, Rahm will become the first golfer from Spain to win the US Open. He pulled off a comeback on the last day to win his second major and first Master’s title on April 9, 2023.

Rahm beat Brooks Koepka, who had a two-stroke lead going into the final round, by four strokes after shooting a three-under 69 to finish on 12 under. After his victory, his followers are concerned about his health because he had previously experienced a condition, which we’ve covered in more depth below.

The War Against Jon Rahm’s Stomach Ailment

Throughout his youth, Jon Rahm has struggled with a number of issues, including a stomach illness. In March 2023, he pulled out of The Players Championship owing to illness, depriving the best tournament of the year of its top player. Scottie Scheffler, who was ranked second, and Rory McIlroy, who was ranked third, were Rahm’s opponents in the second round.

Unfortunately, due to what his management described as a gastrointestinal problem, Rahm was forced to withdraw 30 minutes prior to his scheduled tee time. He was unable to take part in the tournament as a result. After a month, golf fans are eager for an update on Rahm’s condition.

Is Jon Rahm Still Sick? How is He Feeling?

The most recent medical assessment indicates that Jon Rahm is doing well and that his stomach illness appears to have subsided. Although they have released a statement, Jon and his representatives have kept his illness a secret. Rahm’s decision to withdraw from The Players Championship was merely attributed to gastrointestinal discomfort.

Rahm is now back in action, which shows that his health is outstanding. Rahm recently won his first Masters title, and prior to that, he shared a photo on Instagram. “Practise almost done; Ready to get going this week – vamos,” Rahm captioned a collection of photos from Augusta National Golf Club. Rahm won the Masters in 2023, proving that he was enthusiastic about his comeback and that he gave it his best.

The COVID-19 test for Jon Rahm was positive in 2021

As was previously mentioned, Jon Rahm has experienced several career setbacks as a result of his health. In addition to his stomach illness, Rahm has previously tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. He had to leave the Memorial Tournament in June 2021 as the reigning champion due to the virus. At the time of his withdrawal, Rahm had a six-stroke lead after the third round.

In July of that same year, after finishing in a tie for third place at the Open Championship, Jon made travel arrangements to Tokyo to begin preparations for the 2020 Summer Olympics. When taking his third and final COVID-19 test before leaving, the golfer once more tested positive, which forced him to reschedule. Jorge Campillo replaced Rahm on the pitch as a result. He was mostly worried about his health in 2021.
