Josh, now 16 years old, was expelled from school in November of the previous academic year. He was advised by the high school that he could only go back if he agreed to go to two classes with trans pupils who found his viewpoints objectionable.

In this brief piece, let’s examine the incident in greater detail.

Arrest and Charges: Josh Alexander Suspended

Josh claims that there are only two genders and that it is impossible to change between them. He said that students who were born men should not be permitted in the restrooms for girls.

Josh tweeted about his arrest and charges once they were announced. The high school student claimed that an Ontario police officer detained him for showing up to class after being expelled for declaring his intention to practice his religion.

Josh previously stated in an interview with The Epoch Times that “when I discussed my religious convictions in class, things got out of hand.”

That won’t be appealing to everyone, Alexander continued. Because of this, I am not a bully. It doesn’t mean I’m annoying anyone, though. They express their views, and I express mine. My story didn’t fit with it.

The kid who identified as a “born-again Christian” allegedly organized a demonstration at his school against biological men using the women’s facilities and made an argument in class that God only created two genders and is unchanging.

Following the incident in November, Josh received his first suspension from the school.

A student from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School characterized the classroom interaction to The Epoch Times as “many classmates, including trans students, were kind of yelling me down.”

He was released from his exclusion on January 2023. Alexander was reportedly “excluded” by the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board for the balance of the school year, but in reality, his exclusion persisted.

Josh Alexander is suspected of harassing transgender students.

The high school student from St. Joseph’s Catholic was charged with harassing transgender pupils.

Alexander is uncertain as to whether the officially non-disciplinary action will last into the following year. Alexander’s attorney, James Kitchen, claims that the school has accused his client of “bullying” transgender students.

The lawyer clarified that his client didn’t harass trans students. Josh “won’t look for them, insult them, or make fun of them,” he continued.

He limited himself to expressing his views on what these people say, think, and do. And he communicates them both in and outside of the classroom, said Josh Alexander’s lawyer.

Josh Alexander Prepares To File An Appeal With The Local Human Rights Tribunal

Josh Alexander plans to appeal his initial punishment to the provincial human rights tribunal before presenting his case before a school board panel.

In addition to taking this matter before a provincial human rights tribunal, the student has decided to appeal his initial expulsion. According to Jame Kitchen, they will file that case this month.

The suspension would next be examined by a committee of the school board to determine its appropriateness. But the appeal ran into a technological problem.

According to reports, it is being delayed because of the issue of parental autonomy. The university revealed that Josh continues to reside with his parents.

However, the lawyer claimed that despite James living with his parents, he manages his own life.
