When Dobbs was eight years old and in the third grade, he received the diagnosis.

He described in an interview how the initial treatments made his hair grow. But his hairline started to regress when he was in high school. He had lost all of his eyelashes and eyebrows by the time he graduated from high school.

Up until his senior year, cortisone injections managed to keep his baldness at bay. To stop hair loss, he required weekly cortisone injections. The shots did, however, lose their potency for him over time.

He so made the decision to shave his head. Josh has been bald ever since his hair stopped growing.

Dobbs used his celebrity status to raise awareness about alopecia, especially among young people.

Joshua has talked about how his friends and family have supported him. He was also motivated by Charlie Villanueva, a former NBA player who had the same illness.

Likewise inspiring is his message to others, especially to the condition’s young sufferers. He asserted that you might achieve your goals even without hair. You shouldn’t let alopecia get in your way.

He continued by saying that our society is dominated by social media and a focus on beauty. But at the end of the day, you can be successful and content if you feel good about yourself. It doesn’t matter if you have long hair or none at that moment.

Josh Dobbs’s Family History

The Tennessee Titans quarterback’s parents, Stephanie and Robert Dobbs, welcomed him into the world on January 26, 1995, in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Prior to her retirement, his mother was employed by UPS as a regional manager in corporate human resources. Meanwhile, his father works as a vice president at Wells Fargo Bank.

When Josh was five years old, he started playing football in a league. He attended Wesleyan University. He then registered for Alpharetta High School.

He played football competitively while in high school. With 29 touchdown passes, the young athlete passed for 3,625 yards.

Dobbs made his initial college football commitment to Arizona State University.

Later, he changed his mind and decided to play for the University of Tennessee. Josh is also a bachelor’s degree holder in aerospace engineering.

The quarterback was given the institution’s 2017 Torchbearer Award, which is the highest honor given to undergraduate students in recognition of their accomplishments outside of the classroom and in the community.
