When Josh Owen was 44 years old, he passed away. Apparently, on his birthday, Owen passed away. around least 20 law enforcement vehicles were seen driving eastward on I-94 early on Sunday. They were taking Owen to the medical examiner’s office, where he arrived around 12:50 a.m.
Officers were called in response to a report of a domestic dispute in Cyrus’ 400 block of North Stromen Street. At some point, shots were fired, striking three police officers. Authorities in Pope County reported many injuries, including those to the suspect, and confirmed the presence of a firearm at the site.
Both a Pope County deputy and a Starbuck Police officer sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. They are not currently hospitalized. However, Owen couldn’t be saved and took his last breath. An investigation into this deadly shooting has been requested by the Minnesota BCA, and further details will be made public shortly.
