He became the first Myanmar-born MMA fighter to compete in and win a UFC fight.
He fought Kevin Borjas in his second UFC bout on November 11, 2023, at UFC 295: Procházka vs. Pereira. After three rounds of kicks, punches, and hooks, Joshua was declared the winner by unanimous decision.
