Diddy presented Jozzy onstage at the Billboard Awards
Jozzy debuted as a Love Records artist for the first time at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. She performed her Songs For Ladies, Free Game For N***** album song “Replay.”
Along with Lil Nas X, she co-wrote “Old Town Road.”
One could not fault an artist for retiring after authoring “Old Town Road.” Yet Jozzy didn’t end his career on that high note (co-written by Lil Nas X, the song became one of the best-selling singles in history), as he continued to toil and produce hits for Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, and 21 Savage.
At the Grammys, Jozzy was a member of Beyonce’s Renaissance squad.
As previously said, Jozzy collaborated with Beyonce on her tremendously brilliant album Renaissance. Queen Bey collaborated with Jozzy on one of the album’s biggest songs, “Virgo’s Groove.”
In honor of the album’s Grammy nomination and presence at the award presentation, Jozzy posted a stunning photo of the evening to Instagram.
Jozzy described her new album as a “rekindled dream”
Clearly, Jozzy has been anticipating the release of her new album just as much as her fans! The artist posted a dope cover photo to Instagram with the comment, “It’s finally here, This EP is the beginning of every dream rekindled.
Thank you for your patience and faith. Music For Ladies, Free Game For N*****” @loverecords, Friday, February 24.”
She found inspiration in Diddy’s muses
Jozzy is no exception to the rule that all musicians have performers they like.
“I was inspired by all the musicians Diddy has collaborated with, from Total to 112 to Carl Thomas,” she told Revolt.
“One of my favorite tracks on the album, “Replay,” was an attempt to embody Carl Thomas.
He just excelled at penning songs for women, such as “Summer Rain” and “I Wish I’d Never Met Her.” Examining 112’s “Peaches & Cream” and “Anywhere” They composed songs that women might sing with their eyes closed and tongues out.”
