As previously mentioned, Jru Scandrick is the child of Draya Michele and Orlando Scandrick, her former fiancé. On April 8, 2016, he was born in Burbank, California. He will be six years old in 2022.
He weighed 6.5 pounds and was 20 inches long when he was born. The arrival of a new family member appeared to have both of his parents extremely happy. In an interview with People, she discussed her son Jru.
“We can’t wait to welcome our sixth child into the family.”Everyone is instantly enamored with him because he is such a sweet and healthy baby. His sisters and brother have fallen in love.
Back in January, Michele had declared her pregnancy with Jru, saying,
“We’re getting ready for a Taurus baby. In our family of four Aquarius and one Capricorn (almost Aquarius), he will be the first Taurus.
But in contrast to what they had anticipated, their son was born an Aries. In actuality, Draya gave birth to her first son at the age of 31.
Jru Scandrick Contains Three Halberds
Six-year-old Kniko Howard, Tatyana Scandrick, and Taylor Scandrick are Jru’s three older half-siblings. Tatyana and Taylor were born out of his father’s relationship, whilst Kniko was the product of his mother’s prior union.
For the record, Jru’s mother Draya welcomed Kniko when she was just 17 years old.
In addition, Jru gets along well with all of his brothers and sisters, just like any other sibling. I hope they will always be in love with one another.
His Parents Are No Longer Married
Even though Michele and Scandrick, Jru’s parents, had an intermittent relationship for a while, they are sadly no longer together. According to reports, the ex-couple started dating in 2014. In addition, by 2015, Orlando, an NFL star, had even asked her to marry him.
According to the accounts, he proposed to her when they were out on a movie date, presenting her with a $400,000 engagement band. Speaking of the suggestion, Michele once remarked,
He got down on one knee, and as soon as he began speaking, I became uneasy and started laughing uncontrollably. I was both crying and laughing at the same moment.
However, things were not intended to last indefinitely. In 2019, the couple announced their divorce, nearly three years after the birth of their son Jru Scandrick. Draya announced the news on Instagram in December of 2019. She commented,
“I spent the entire month of December by myself. Thus, please keep everything you have to say about me or the man I was previously engaged to. We are indifferent.
Career
Jru Scandrick has not yet begun his professional career and is still a very young child. However, his parents are prosperous people. First of all, Draya, his mother, is a prosperous model, actor, social media star, and fashion designer.
In 2011, she made her television debut as a guest on The Wendy Williams Show. She then made an appearance on the wildly popular TV show Basketball Wives LA. From 2011 to 2015, she made appearances in 54 episodes of the show. Her first role as an actress was in the television film Will to Love (2015), in which she played Candice Koleto.
She has also made appearances in numerous more TV shows, including Tales, Bring Out the Lady, Til Death Do Us Part, and L.A.’s Finest. Her works have achieved great success for the most part.
She also runs the lifestyle clothing brand Fine Ass Girls and the swimwear brand Mint Swim in addition to her career as a fashion designer. In November 2016, she also debuted her newest clothing line, Beige & Coco.
Regarding Orlando Scandrick, Jru’s father, he was formerly an American football cornerback and is now a sports pundit. He allegedly joined the Boise State University football squad when he first started playing football in college. He ultimately played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs before being picked by the Dallas Cowboys in 2008.
Regretfully, Jru does not use social media. On occasion, though, he appears in his mother’s Instagram pictures. Draya has more than 8.3 million Instagram followers and 662k Twitter followers, respectively, and she is quite active on both platforms.
However, Orlando is also active on social media, with more than 336k Instagram followers and more than 14k Twitter followers.
The mother of Jru Scandrick is currently seeing a new boyfriend.
About her mother’s current relationship, she is seeing football quarterback Tyrod Taylor. According to reports, they started dating in July 2020, when they first met.
They have been dating for more than two years, and it appears like their bond is growing every day. Jru and his mother’s new partner appear to be quite close.
