JSU Shooting: Randall Smith, who is he? 20 Years Man Arrested for Flynn Brown’s Death
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations has identified and detained the person of interest in the shooting murder of a Jackson State University student, whose corpse was found inside a vehicle on campus on Friday.
According to MBI, Flynn Brown, 22,’s death is connected to the detention of Randall Smith, 20.
Regrettably, due to the Police’s strict secrecy, no more information on Randall’s private life was found.
According to Bailey Martin, a representative for the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Randall Smith, a 20-year-old native of New Orleans and suspect, has been placed under custody.
This occurred shortly after JSU President Thomas K. Hudson announced that a person of interest was in police custody.
In a statement released on Friday, Hudson informed the public of the tragic death of 22-year-old student Flynn Brown.
The corpse of Brown was discovered inside a Dodge Charger at around 8:30 on Friday morning in a parking lot between Dixon Hall and Campbell College Suites, according to the Hinds county coroner.
According to 16 WAPT News, students said that they were told to leave Dixon Hall without being given a reason.
Later, the University texted students to let them know that “an ongoing inquiry at Tiger World,” the parking lot situated between the two residence buildings, was taking place.
JSU President Thomas K. Hudson stated in a statement that the victim was a student there.
Grief counselors are available, according to Hudson, at the student center theater.
