Judy Sheindlin Had Three Marriages

Judy Sheindlin

Due to her wildly popular show, Judge Judy, Judy Sheindlin became one of television’s most well-known figures. Despite the fact that it ended after 25 years, she came back with Judy Justice.

Furthermore, Sheindlin isn’t her family’s lone representative in the show. Her granddaughter Sarah Rose has joined her as a legal analyst. Sheindlin briefly mentioned Rose as she talked about her granddaughter’s part in Judy Justice.

She will be a third-generation attorney in our family. She is sharp, witty, and forthright. Who knows where she picked up such traits? Her comments make it abundantly evident that she and her children share many traits. Here are some specifics regarding Sheindlin’s relationships and family.

Judy Sheindlin had three marriages

The judge has three marriages to her credit. She wed Ronald Levy, her first spouse, in 1964. After getting married, Sheindlin and her then-husband settled down in New York. They had two children together and stayed married for the subsequent 12 years.

They got divorced in 1976, and she briefly discussed what went wrong in an interview with Fox News (via The Sun). “My first spouse is a terrific, lovely man, but he always regarded my line of work as a hobby, which I once loathed.”

After divorcing Levy, Sheindlin moved on with Judge Jerry Sheindlin. When they wed in 1977, she became the stepmother to three of his kids. After successfully representing the defense in a murder trial, Jerry admitted to the LA Times that he had met his wife in a bar.

She occurred to overhear his talk with a reporter while working as a prosecutor at the time. Judy entered the room and asked, “And who is this?” while pointing a finger in my direction. I said, “Lady, take your finger out of my face.” We have been together since.

Sheindlin and Jerry’s bond worsened after her father passed away in 1990. The Sun reported that she threatened to get a divorce because she was unhappy with the way he handled her emotions. The two divorced after Jerry pushed her to actually go through with their divorce. But it didn’t take them long to realize that their union was predestined. The couple was remarried in 1991.

Five children were born to Judy Sheindlin

Sheindlin has five children. In 1966, two years after her first marriage, she gave birth to Jamie Hartwright, becoming a mother for the first time. In 1968, she gave birth to Adam Levy, adding a new member to their family. Adam is a lawyer, just like his mother. In the past, he served as a district attorney in Putnam County, New York, and New York City.

Sheindlin wed Jerry after divorcing Levy, despite the fact that they were never parents. After marrying Jerry, she took on the role of stepmother to his three children, Nicole, Gregory, and Jonathan Sheindlin. Adam, Nicole, and Gregory are all lawyers.

Jonathan, on the other hand, works in the medical field. He reportedly studies visual sciences and ophthalmology. Between her five children, Sheindlin has 13 grandchildren. Judge Judy hasn’t mentioned anything about her other grandchildren outside her granddaughter Rose.
