Regarding Burt’s disappearance, the police are still looking for Brandon Stivers, who is sought on charges of assault and abduction. He is supposedly living in rehabilitation housing in Louisville’s Portland region, according to the police.
According to the citation, Stivers acknowledged stabbing the individual on October 29, in Summit County, Ohio, when she was being detained. She was brought to the Bullitt County Detention Facility on Wednesday.
In the meanwhile, Brandon Stivers was arrested in February 2022 and charged with first-degree assault, abduction, and tampering with physical evidence.
Brandon Stivers has not been seen since September 2020, according to the BCSO. The FBI said they “believe there may be individuals with information regarding the whereabouts of Justin Burt that did not come forward before,” even though both suspects are in jail.
