On October 17, 2022, Kaalan Walker, a 27-year-old Superfly star, received a 50-year prison term for allegedly abusing numerous women sexally.
Kalaan Walker was found guilty on April 18, 2022, of abusing four women and three young girls whom he met online, according to People News.
Over 30 women accused Walker of abusing them between 2013 and 2018, according to Hollywood Unlocked, which found evidence that Walker may have been a serial predator. He allegedly exploited his victims, who were largely aspiring actresses and models, by using his professional connections.
Yasmin Fardghassemi, a deputy district attorney, claims that Kaalan Walker is suspected of meeting victims on Twitter and Instagram while pretending to be undertaking photo and music video shoots.
In order to convince women that he could set up a meeting with them, the prosecution claims that Walker would name celebrities like Drake. He is charged with attempting to take advantage of women who were intoxicated in at least two incidences.
The women who came forward, according to Fardghassemi, did not know one another but each claimed to have been a victim of the actor.
The defendant Kaalan Walker is the only link between these women, according to the prosecution. You’ll see a more sinister side of him.
In response to the accusations, Walker’s lawyer, Andrew Flier, asserted that the ladies were making up stories in order to inflict revenge on the actor and that their behavior reflected that of business politics.
(My client) adamantly maintains his innocence. Due to the Court’s disregard for a number of crucial issues, (He) did not receive a fair trial.
According to Flier, the women filed complaints against his client because he didn’t follow through on his promise to advance their careers. He said that Walker didn’t attack them, though.
They’ll lie to you because they know you bought into my client’s BS, they say. “My client is being unfairly branded as a monster.”
“Mr. Walker frequently makes false promises, and they fell for it… These women each consciously made their own decisions. He didn’t compel them… That would be Mr. Walker’s revenge, and we wouldn’t stand for it.
In Contempt and Kings both featured Kaalan Walker, according to IMDB. He could dance and rap, too.
