Toney was awarded Offensive MVP of the 2016 AL.com All-Coastal Alabama squad and was named to the AL.com Super All-State Team in 2016. He went on to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic after that. He concluded his high school career with a 20-5 record and went on to play for the Florida Gators at the University of Florida.
247Sports ranked Karadius as the 421st best recruit in the country, the 25th best ATH, and the 20th best recruit from Alabama, but he dropped out of the 2020 Cotton Bowl Classic to prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft, and Toney was drafted in the first round by the New York Giants of the National Football League in 2021. He played in 38 games for a total of 2641 yards, and he helped Florida become the first team in the country to have three players with at least eight touchdown receptions.
