A guy was discovered dead from gunshot wounds on Lener Road, and Warren police were summoned to conduct an investigation. A second victim of that incident was also present and was taken directly to the hospital.
After the incident, a guy was taken into custody.
In connection with the shooting deaths of James Chapman, 34, and a lady who was found by cops and sent to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, police reportedly detained 29-year-old Robin Kashaun Williams.
Officers were dispatched to 690 Lener Ave. SW at 4:11 a.m. on Sunday to investigate a complaint of gunfire heard in the area, according to a Warren police press release.
When the police came, they saw an injured lady and a guy they later learned to be Chapman.
The suspect, Kashaun Robin Williams, has also been held on suspicion of hiding a firearm, having a weapon when disabled, assaulting a peace officer, restraining an officer, and interfering with official business.

A Warren man was charged on April 3, 2023, in connection with a shooting that occurred early on April 2, 2023, leaving one person dead and another injured.
Robin Kashaun Williams, 29, who lives in the 200 block of Laird Avenue NE, was named as the suspect. He has been charged with various crimes, including murder.

Williams has a history of violent crimes because, in Trumbull County, he was convicted of felony assault twice—once in 2017 and once in 2019. He was also charged with aggravated robbery when he was a young man.

Kashaun was found guilty of six charges, including felony assault, kidnapping, and two counts of endangering minors and domestic violence, according to the Common Pleas Court’s records.
In January 2020, Kashaun Robin Williams was given a sentence of three to four and a half years in prison.
Gysegem revoked Kashaun Robin Williams’ bond after finding him to be a “threat to public safety” due to his arrest history and the severity of the current allegations at the hearing on Monday, which was attended by friends and relatives of the victims.

Williams was also taken into custody and transferred to the Trumbull County Jail for interrogation about both incidents, according to sources.
According to the news release, authorities are currently investigating the incidents. The court also stated that Williams’ preliminary hearing will occur within the next 10 days.
