One of Depp’s former companions, British model Kate Moss, will give a videotaped testimony on Johnny’s behalf on Wednesday, May 25, according to the New York Post. When Heard alleged that her ex-husband once pushed her down a flight of stairs, the 48-year-case old’s was brought up in court.
The 58-year-old actor is suing Heard because of an op-ed piece she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed to have experienced domestic abuse.
While she did not specifically name Johnny Depp in her article, his lawyers claim that the actress’s allegations of abuse have damaged his professional reputation and cost him important film roles.
Because film companies do not want actresses with a “bad reputation,” she has countersued the Pirates of the Caribbean actor for $100 million. She claims that this has cost her significant career chances.
Kate Moss and Johnny Depp’s relationship
In 1994, Johnny Depp and Kate Moss started dating, starting one of Hollywood’s most publicized romances. He just called off his engagement to Winona Ryder, in honor of whom he had inked the words “Winona Forever” on his body. In an interview with Hello magazine in 1998, Johnny revealed the real reason behind his divorce from Kate in 1997. The actor fully accepted responsibility for their breakup and attributed it to his rage.
I’ve never gotten so worked up over a woman. We had so many positive aspects to our relationship, therefore I was incredibly stupid. Because I was difficult to get along with, I let my job get in the way, and I didn’t give her the attention she deserved, I had to take responsibility for what happened.
At the time, Johnny also acknowledged that his commitment to his job had affected his friendship with Kate Moss.
“Everything was crazy because I shouldn’t have been so upset about what people were saying about my work,” the author stated. I should care about my movies, for sure, but I should also make an effort to leave such things at home. I was impossible to live with and incapable of doing it. I’m a complete moron sometimes, believe me.
Assertions that Johnny threw Kate down a flight of stairs while they were dating have not yet received a response from Kate, although in a Vanity Fair interview years later, she did talk openly about their breakup.
She acknowledged crying over Johnny for “years,” yet she continued to praise him even after they split up. In 2012, she stated:
