While Katie’s birth date has yet to be established, some public records indicate that Chris Kreider’s sister Jatie Kreider was born Katherine T Kreider on July 27, 1996. Dave and Kathy Kreider are her parents.
Katie was most likely raised in Boston’s Charleston area, where her brother was also raised. Chris Kreider’s younger sister is Katherine.
Katie attended Phillips Academy Andover from 2010 to 2014. She worked as the sports editor for The Phillipian, Phillips Academy’s student newspaper.
Katie Kreider’s Education and Professional Career as a Teacher and Coach
Katie attended the Stockholm School of Economics after high school. Katie earned a BA in psychology and math from Hamilton College. She has a minor in Russian as well.
According to her LinkedIn, the Boxford native is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and will graduate in July 2023.
Meanwhile, Kreider’s sister, Katie, works as an assistant director of admission at Groton School. She is also a teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science.
Kreider coaches girls’ soccer, basketball, and tennis at Groton in addition to working as a dorm affiliate. Katie previously taught mathematics for two years at the Christchurch School in Virginia before coming to Groton.
But that’s not all; the Massachusetts native has also worked as an intern at Slivercrest Asset Management, Philips Academy, and Hamilton College.
Additionally, Kreider worked as a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength And Conditioning.
Katie as a University Athlete
Katie has been interested in athletics since high school. Kreider was a member of the varsity soccer, basketball, and softball teams at Philips Academy. The NHL athlete’s sister was mostly a forward during her high school and college soccer careers.
She also spent eight years with the Aztec club team.
Katie was a top athlete in various community service initiatives and contests during her time at Hamilton. Katie also started 13 of 15 games her freshman year. She had six goals and one assist during the season.
The following season, Kreider started 14 of 16 games and scored six points in a 9-0 victory over Suny Polytechnic. Katie scored six goals and assisted on five others during the season. During her junior year, the Groton School director earned a spot on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
Katie appeared in 17 of 18 games as a senior, beginning in 12th grade. She was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team as well. Kreider’s sister had 15 goals and eight assists in her college soccer career.

Although Katie has revealed every detail about her professional life, the rest of her life has remained a mystery for years. This is especially true in terms of her boyfriends’ and partners’ whereabouts.
While the Hamilton graduate is active on Twitter and Instagram, she has rarely acknowledged her relationship on those platforms. As a result, it’s unclear whether Katie has a significant other or whether she’s had any relationships. What her social media posts do reveal is that Kreider’s sister has yet to marry, and so no wedding announcements have been made by her NHL brother or other family members.
