Gay Times magazine has named a young rapper Keanan, who defies stereotypes as a budding talent. Keanan, a 24-year-old rapper from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, has achieved fame on TikTok by rapping about his sexuality and way of life in the country.

It’s who I am, he declared. I wish to serve as an example for others. Everyone should be free to be themselves, in my opinion.

The Gay Times Honours ceremony will feature a live performance by the rapper on Friday.

“I reside in a tiny town and have received an invitation to perform from a company like that.

Keanan said,

“I simply think it’s mind-blowing, I think that’s ridiculous.

More than 1.2 million people have watched Keanan’s freestyle to Drake and Headie One’s Only You Freestyle, in which he raps about his sexuality.

“I did it in a unique way when I was talking about my sexuality; it was more a sense of this is who I am, unapologetic. It was respected by people, he said.

As a gay rapper in the UK, he continued, “LGBTQI is a major issue for me; it’s new ground that’s being covered.”

When he first got negative feedback about his music, the rapper claimed,

“It underlined for me how much it was needed and how much people needed a role model.”

“I’m delighted to fill that role.”

After following Keanan’s journey, which included the publication of his EP Exhibit Green and a performance at Black Pride, Gay Times, a magazine for the LGBTQ+ community that claims to have a monthly reach of 28 million people, put him on the 2022 honors list.

“I’m everything they need right now, is how they put it to me,” they said.

Someone of that caliber wanting to support me so strongly feels pretty great, he remarked.

‘Motivation’

However, the artist claimed he spoke for the entire LGBT community, adding that “there’s not much going on” in Cheltenham.

“Watching my path has given people around me who are small-town musicians and feel like they are not accomplishing anything a lot of motivation,” she said.

On November 25, London will host the Gay Times Honours, which “recognize individuals and organizations that have a profound impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ people.”
