Kerry Gordy began his career in the Motown Records mailroom in 1973. Gordy then signed Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” as an A&R representative for Motown in 1984. It was Gordy’s first hit and a hit for Motown.
Gordy is also recognized for his work in the films Right in Front of You, Do You Love Me, and Astro Disco. In 1993, he was appointed vice-president of two divisions at Paisley Park Records. Gordy also collaborated with the Duke Ellington School and Stevie Wonder to generate $1 million for school activities.
In addition, Dacia Global announced a joint venture with Gordy, IP in 2021 to form Dacia-Gordy, IP. Gordy is currently working on unique projects and providing fascinating entertainment, primarily in the music industry.
