Kira Carroll, better known as “Kiki” Rice, is presently a collegiate basketball player for the UCLA Bruins. Rice excelled academically at Sidwell Friends School throughout her high school years. She emerged as one of the top recruits in her class and garnered national notoriety her senior year when she was selected player of the year. Under her direction, Sidwell Friends finished the season with a perfect 28-0 record. Rice chose UCLA to continue her collegiate basketball career.

After receiving his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1992, John, a former NCAA basketball star at Yale, entered into management. His professional background includes a prominent position as a Senior Manager at The Walt Disney Company, where he was responsible for operations in Miami and Orlando.
John’s passion for basketball led him to the NBA, where he worked as the Managing Director of the league’s Latin America and Japan division for four years.
John Rice founded Management Leadership for Tomorrow, a non-profit dedicated to fostering the leadership potential of underrepresented minorities, in 2002. As CEO, he has spent over two decades mentoring, skill training, and building a strong professional network for future leaders.
Kiki Rice Mother, Andrea Rice
Andrea Rice, Kiki’s mother, earned a name for herself in the athletic and professional arenas. Andrea, a superb Yale tennis player, has won numerous national age group singles and doubles trophies on various surfaces. Her achievements include being ranked one in the country and assisting Team USA in winning gold medals at the World Tennis Championships in Germany (2018) and Portugal (2019). Andrea moved her concentration from sports to teaching and business.
She co-founded Career Core in 2006 and served as president for 11 years, focusing on innovative talent development and recruiting solutions. Andrea Rice is a well-known board member of Bolster, a software development company. She also works for her husband’s company, Management Leadership for Tomorrow, as a Managing Director.
