Petras began music recording as a teenager. She independently released “I Don’t Want It at All,” her debut international hit, in 2017.

In the years that followed, she put out a number of tracks, among them “Feeling of Falling,” “Heart to Break,” and “1, 2, 3 Dayz Up,” all of which peaked in the top 40 of Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs list.

Both of Petras’ studio albums, Turn Off the Light and Clarity, both of which bear her own names, were independently released in 2019.

In 2021, Petras signed a recording deal with Republic Records. The following year, she released her debut EP under the Slut Pop label. Let’s learn more about Kim Petras’ transgender status.

The visibly moved Petras expressed gratitude to her loving mother, her idol Madonna, and “all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open for me so I could be here tonight,” including her late buddy, the electronic musician/producer SOPHIE.

Petras, the first transgender woman to win in this category, was asked by Smith to make the Grammy acceptance speech on their behalf.

Naturally, she told Sam, the other singer in their duet, “This is a fantastic time for me. I appreciate it. Standing ovations greeted her as she declared, “You are a true angel and hero in my life, and I love you.”

Singer Kim Petras, the world’s youngest transgender person, spoke on This Morning at 16 in 2009 about her goal of becoming a major global pop artist.

At the time, it seemed almost impossible to achieve such a goal. The most well-known transgender pop star in the entire globe is Kim Petras.

She was stuck in Cologne, Germany, and was experiencing such intense bullying there that she considered ending her life. Not to mention the transphobic culture in the entertainment industry.

Kim released Clarity, her critically acclaimed debut album, ten years later. She is regarded as one of the most intriguing pop sensations and this week played her maiden headline show in London to a sold-out crowd. Miley Cyrus and Paris Hilton are among her followers.

Details of Kim Petras’s early life

Petras was born in Cologne, Germany. Her mother is a dancer and artist, her older sister is a performer, and her father is an architect.

In 2006, Petras, who was 13 at the time, appeared on a German news show and discussed her medical gender transition.

At the age of 14, Petras made an appearance on a talk show and in a documentary to promote the ability to have early sex reassignment surgery at 16, which is younger than the legally required age of 18 in Germany.

Her transition was reported by foreign media as a result of these appearances, which welcomed her as the “youngest transsexual in the world.” In September 2007, she acted as the spokesperson for a German network of hair salons.

Dr. Bernd Meyenburg, head of the mental section at Frankfurt Hospital, gave Petras the go-ahead to have gender confirmation surgery when she was 16 years old. In November 2008, Petras announced her final surgical transition.

The Daily Telegraph claims that Petras was the youngest patient ever to have such surgery because she underwent it at a young age.

In response to a query on her surgery, she stated, “I was asked if I feel like a woman now, but I have always felt like a woman – I just ended up in the wrong body.”

Her first song, according to Petras, who talked with BuzzFeed, was “about this man in second grade who didn’t like me back.”
