Kimberley Martin was born in Arverne, New York, to parents Compton Martin and Camille Collins Martin. Compton was born in the Guyana capital of Georgetown. In 1980, he and Camille relocated to Brooklyn.

Furthermore, Compton pursued an education to become a mechanic. In addition, he has two jobs to help her family make ends meet. Compton, on the other hand, enjoyed watching sports as a hobby. Among all sports, he adored cricket and was a huge fan of the game.
