De’Aaron Fox fractured a finger on his shooting hand and is questionable for Game 5 of the Kings’ first-round series with the Golden State Warriors.
The Kings announced Monday night that X-rays of Fox’s left index finger revealed an avulsion fracture.
De’Aaron Fox remained in the game following the injury and even made a crucial 3-pointer in the final minute as Sacramento fell 126-125. On the final possession, Fox passed out of a double team, and the Kings lost when Harrison Barnes missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
The series is split at two games apiece heading into Wednesday night’s Game 5 in Sacramento (10 ET, TNT).
In his first postseason appearance, Fox has emerged as a sensation, averaging 31.5 points, seven assists, and six rebounds through six games.
His 38 points in a Game 1 victory were tied for the second-most by a player in his postseason debut, and his 126 points in his first four career playoff games are tied for the sixth-most.
In the defeat in Game 4, Fox had 38 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
