After the recent autopsy report revealed that there were no visible injuries, the Kirsten Kluyts rape case has generated a lot of internet controversy.
Teacher Kirsten Kluyts was murdered at George Lea Park in Sandton after being sexually assaulted.
She was a student at Varsity College, age 21. The defendant, a male in his twenties, was accused of killing her and raping her.
The accused, however, maintained his innocence by claiming that he discovered Kluyts’ body after she had passed away.
Nevertheless, a criminal law specialist stressed that a district surgeon was the right person to assess if a sexual assault had taken place.
Following the disclosure of the information and the accused’s bail application, the case proceeded.

21-year-old Kirsten Kluyts, a student at Varsity College and a teacher in Johannesburg met a horrible end in George Lea Park in Sandton.
A criminal investigation was launched into the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death.
A 21-year-old male who was also the accused was taken into custody for her slaying.
The state provided evidence in court that suggested the accused had pursued Kluyts before her passing.
His account of events is contradicted by the fact that his cellphone’s geolocation put him at the park the morning of the incident.
The information from an autopsy report completed three days after Kluyts’ murder was one of the case’s intriguing aspects.
A section of Kirsten Kluyts’ autopsy report was read aloud by the accused in her rape and murder trial on Tuesday.
Her vaginal canal, labia, anus, perineal area, and external genitalia did not appear to have any damage, according to the report.
During the court hearings, the accused stressed this point by reading from the autopsy report.
But criminal law expert Advocate Mannie Witz issued a warning, saying that it was not clear from the evidence if Kluyts had been raped.
According to Witz, a district surgeon must examine the patient inside to ascertain whether penetration has occurred.
Only that Kluyts was 14 weeks pregnant and that she died from blunt force trauma to the head is given in the 11 pages of the autopsy report.
With new information coming to light and questions remaining about what happened before Kirsten Kluyts’ terrible demise, the case remained complicated.
Killer Bafana Mhungela’s Instagram And CCTV Videos
In relation to the Kirsten Kluyts case, Bafana Mahungela is charged with premeditated murder, rape, and aggravated robbery.
The Alexandra Magistrate’s Court is currently hearing a bail request from Mahungela, a 21-year-old.
Photos of Mahungela trailing Kirsten Kluyts on the morning her body was found at George Lea Park in Sandton were presented by the prosecutor, Ayanda Bakana, in court.
To bolster their case against him, the authorities produced evidence such as CCTV footage and data from mobile towers.
Further images show Mahungela dressed in Kluyts apparel, and in the reply, the defendant questioned the veracity of the images that were shown in court.
The state’s timeline was contested by the accused, who claimed that the CCTV footage did not match the circumstances leading up to Kluyts’ last known moments.
He acknowledged that he was simply borrowing Kluyts’ clothes and claimed that there were differences in the shadows and details that suggested he was not following Kluyts as described.
Mahungela also brought up concerns regarding Kluyts’ attendance at the occasion, implying that someone aware of her presence may have been complicit in the crime.
Given that Mahungela is contesting the evidence used against him in the bail application, the case raises the possibility of a complicated legal scenario.
