Participant in Hell’s Kitchen O’Shay Lolley enjoys cooking Jamaican food

The chef, 42, who will compete in Hell’s Kitchen, has prepared meals for a lot of famous people, including Vice President Joe Biden. On the BOREDinDE Podcast, he discusses his experience in the kitchen.

When he was younger, he enjoyed blending leftover meals to create new dishes. Lolley afterward enrolled at The Arts Institute of Philadelphia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Sciences. When questioned about his education, he replied:

The aspiring Hell’s Kitchen contestant does not have a favorite dish, but he frequently prepares Jamaican food. When asked about eating out, he said that he would still eat the food, even if he didn’t like it. He did admit, though, that occasionally his haughtiness as a cook shows through. He continued by saying that eateries want to give him a free meal when they learn he’s a chef.

He declared:

“I don’t want a free lunch, and as a restaurant, I don’t want to take anything away from you.”

Chef Lolley taught young children at Reed Refuge Center how to cook last year because he thinks it’s important to give back to the community. The instructor showed these kids how to prepare meals while taking safety precautions to prevent injuries.

He claimed to have grown up around a gas stove, which may be harmful if misused. He planned to teach the kids how to live independently and prepare food for themselves if their parents or guardians were not there.
