According to US Weekly, the 44-year-old was first associated with Kate in 2021 after sparks flew during their collaboration on an unnamed film. It was only a matter of time before Justin and the Blue Crush star announced their engagement on April 4, 2023, via his podcast.
Later that day, he posted a carousel of endearing photos of his then-fiancée on Instagram to announce the news. “She said YES… to appearing on @lifeisshortpodcast! And to marginally more life-altering questions ;)”, he captioned the post.
Just one month later, Justin appeared to corroborate that he and the 40-year-old had recently tied the knot. During the May 9 episode of his podcast, Justin referred to her as his “now-wife,” leading listeners to believe they had secretly wed prior to the broadcast.
Kate also posted on Instagram on April 4 about her engagement to Justin. In her caption, the Superman Returns actress announced the news using the titles of her husband’s films.
“These are amusing to disclose. How should this be done? He’s going the extra mile? I have a Blue Crush? He is THAT interested in me? I have an appointment with…? Ok, you get it!” she captioned the adorable photographs.
Drew Barrymore
Another prominent relationship that Justin had was with his erstwhile co-star from Going the Distance, Drew Barrymore. The mother of two and the handsome man dated intermittently from 2007 until their ultimate breakup in 2010.
Drew and Justin initially separated in 2008 but reconciled in 2009. Although the former lovers kissed and reconciled, their relationship lasted only one more year before they gave up. Two years later, Drew wed her ex-husband Will Kopelman, but they divorced in 2016.
In September 2022, more than a decade after their separation, Justin appeared on Drew’s popular talk program The Drew Barrymore Program to kick off Season 3 of her show. During their emotional reconciliation, the 48-year-old cried when discussing her previous relationship with Justin.

Prior to his marriage to Kate, Justin’s most recent long-term relationship was with 37-year-old Mean Girls actress Amanda Seyfried. Justin was observed at the premiere of her film, Lovelace, in July 2013, according to US Weekly, sparking romance rumors.
“Justin is extremely private about his relationships, [so] I’m not exactly sure how they met, but they’ve known each other for a while, even when they were seeing other people,” a source said at the time.
Recently, they began spending more time together and engaging in date-like activities. They are both occupied, but they are observing the situation.
In May 2015, she was not bashful about gushing about him to Vogue, as their relationship lasted for over two years. Amanda explained,
