Professional dancer Koko Iwasaki of DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) has made public her engagement to longtime partner and former SYTYCD participant Kiki Nyemchek.
Koko uploaded pictures of her proposal and her enormous engagement ring to Instagram on November 27, 2022, a Sunday. Kiki proposed to Koko on November 26, 2022, wearing an oval-cut diamond ring, and Koko an “easy yes.”
The two connected while watching SYTYCD season 14 in 2017. They have been dating for four years. Kiki came in fourth, while Koko came in second.
Additionally, they took part in the 2017 SYTYCD tour. The couple officially declared their love in 2018. The DWTS professional dancer announced her relationship with Kiki on Instagram. In December 2020 on The Masked Dancer and 2022 on the DWTS Live tour, they both danced.
Professional dancer Koine Iwasaki (also known as Koko), 25, is from Kanagawa, Japan. She has danced for the past 21 years. She moved to the United States with her family when she was two years old in an effort to live her best life there, according to The Dance & Co website.
The dancer’s parents are also chefs. She was born and reared in South Florida, and when she was three years old, her parents enrolled her in dance classes, which is when she began dancing.
When she was six years old, she decided to make dancing her career and continue dancing for the rest of her life. At the age of sixteen, she began her professional dance career. The dancer claims that it gives her a feeling of purpose and makes her feel more alive.
Koko has been studying dance at the same studio for 18 years and has received training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and other styles. Except for ballroom, she was learning every type of dance.
But she claimed that she developed a strong addiction to ballroom dancing when her future fiancé taught her the moves during season 14 of SYTYCD.
The DWTS competitor Koko has worked with a variety of artists, including Jason Derulo, Becky G, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Luis Fonsi, and Camila Cabello. Koko has shared the stage with Maluma and Luis Fonsi on international tours. She even joined Maks, Val, and Peta on dance tours for Dancing With The Stars.
In SYTYCD season 14, Koko came in second place to hip-hop dancer Lex Ishimoto. She is presently an Allstar/Mentor on a show. The Ellen Show, the Billboard Awards, the Grammy Awards, and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Special have all included Koko.
In season 31 of DWTS, Koko danced with Vinny Guadagnino from the Jersey Shore. Koko is a professional dancer and choreographer who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Koko is a lover of the outdoors who also likes to meditate and cook.
