Additionally, Paul Flores was apprehended by officials and charged with murdering Kristin Smart. They stated that Kristin was with Flores the day she disappeared.
Although there is just one accusation of being an accessory after the fact against his father, Ruben Flores, he was also charged in connection with Kristin Smart’s disappearance and passing.

Nine months later, she was found near the Utah home of her family. She was with Wanda Barzee, the husband of her abductor, who was allegedly a preacher.
The girl then claimed in court that she had been raped multiple times. She further admitted that Mitchell and Barzee made her wear a complete body covering whenever she went out with them to hide her identity.
They flew to San Diego while staying in the Salt Lake City region of Utah.
After Mitchell’s face was described and a drawing was made public, Elizabeth Smart’s younger sister was able to find the couple in Sandy, Utah. Elizabeth Smart was allowed to go back to her family as a consequence.
The situations of Kristin Smart and Elizabeth are unquestionably distinct. However, that hasn’t prevented many from attempting to connect the two kidnapping victims.
