Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati, stars of the second season of Love are Blind, have announced that they would be parting up. Kyle confirmed in an Instagram post that he and Deepti are no longer dating following the release of the three After The Altar episodes on Netflix.
The actor from Love Is Blind went on to reveal that he has moved on and is now dating someone else, the identity of whom he has chosen to keep private.
In addition, he thanked his fans and followers for their support throughout the duo’s journey and vowed to “live each day in the present without regret.”
The Love Is Blind actor wrote on Instagram:
“I understand that many of you are curious about my current relationship with Deepti. We had arranged to separate after filming After the Alter in early summer. Since then, I’ve begun a new relationship, which I desire to conceal for the time being.”
A quick look at Kyle and Deepti’s relationship in Love Is Blind
Kyle and Deepti were both cast in the second season of Love are Blind, which premiered in February 2022, and they became fast friends on the show. While Deepti accepted Abhishek’s “Shake” Chatterjee’s proposal and Kyle proposed to Shaina Hurley, neither couple married.
While Deepti rejected Shake and chose to “choose herself,” Kyle and Shaina decided to end their relationship prior to their wedding. During the program’s reunion on March 4, 2022, Kyle acknowledged that his “biggest regret” was not proposing to Deepti.
Deepti admitted to E! News in the same month that Kyle was her second-favorite contestant and that she was divided between Shake and Kyle. The Love is Blind actress, on the other hand, pondered what would have transpired if she had selected the second option and stated:
“Who knows, if I had selected Kyle, maybe we wouldn’t have gotten along due to the scrutiny? I feel we can now conduct ourselves independently. So we shall see what transpires.”
Kyle disclosed to PEOPLE his hesitancy to have a committed relationship with Deepti. If it didn’t work out, he would lose the bond he so passionately cherished with his co-star, he said, adding:
“I’ve experienced the situation in which you date your closest friend and then break up with them. It would be unjust to your future self for you to actually see that someone. My present girlfriend should not meet her ex-boyfriend. This is unacceptable. That would not pass muster with me.”
Before making their relationship status public in an episode of After the Altar, both Loves is Blind actors teased their relationship status for several months.
The three-part miniseries premiered on Netflix on September 16, 2022. Throughout the three episodes, Kyle and Deepti discussed beginning a relationship but feared the repercussions if it did not work out.
“I am genuinely worried about you. I adore you, and I identify with the difficulties you face. If anything goes wrong, even if your tire goes flat, I feel responsible. I will support you and take care of everything for you since I genuinely care.”
Danielle Ruhl-Nick Thompson and Iyanna McNeely-Jarette Jones, two additional Season 2 Love is Blind couples, have also declared the end of their marriages. A little more than a year after their marriage on the Netflix show, the couple announced their divorce.
None of the show’s couples are now together. According to the show’s creator, Chris Coelen, the third season of Love is Blind has already begun filming and will be released on October 19, 2022. The show was renewed for two additional seasons.
