Kyle Rittenhouse Is Criticized For His Content On His New YouTube Channel

Kyle Rittenhouse

Following the launch of his brand-new YouTube channel devoted to firearms and Second Amendment rights, Kyle Rittenhouse has come under increased online attack.

The 19-year-old uploaded Welcome to My Channel, his first video on the platform, on October 16 and announced that he would soon have “some amazing material” to share.

YouTuber Brandon Herrera, popularly known as the AK Guy, appeared in the 35-second video and appeared to give him “advice” on how to produce content for his followers. The AK Guy also provided Rittenhouse with a 19-minute video in which the two discussed communism, Rittenhouse’s prison fare, and handling legal concerns even after being cleared of all charges.

In the video titled The AK Guy and The Kenosha Kid, Rittenhouse said:

“It’s been difficult. I still owe legal fees, therefore I’m hiring attorneys to help me with my defense.

Rittenhouse can be seen firing from a helicopter and shooting at targets in the 35-second video. He was shown in the video sporting a gray t-shirt with the words “2nd THAT” printed over it. As of this writing, he has 38.1K channel subscribers.

Twitter responses to Kyle Rittenhouse’s new YouTube channel

Following the launch of his new YouTube channel and the publication of the first video, Kyle Rittenhouse received criticism on Twitter for “teaching people how to shoot and murder.” Others complained that he shouldn’t be able to make money by discussing firearms, while others remarked on the “irony.”

After shooting two people during Black Lives Matter demonstrations in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020, Kyle Rittenhouse gained headlines. Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time, used a semi-automatic gun to defend himself when riots broke out after a white police shot Jacob Blake, 29, seven times, critically injuring him.

Anthony Huber (26), Joseph Rosenbaum (36), and Gaige Grosskreutz were all shot and killed by Rittenhouse (27). The teenager was charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted homicide, two counts of reckless endangerment, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, and one count of curfew violation.

Rittenhouse was cleared of all charges in November 2021 after his lawyers argued that he acted in self-defense. He gained notoriety rapidly and started claiming to be a supporter of gun rights.

Following his acquittal, Kyle Rittenhouse declared that he will file a defamation lawsuit against media organizations for their coverage of him and his trial.

This summer, he also released a game that allows users to shoot “false news turkeys” in an effort to raise money for his legal battles with Big Tech and the media. Rittenhouse was also invited to appear on right-wing television shows and networks and appeared at a Turning Point USA event. Donald Trump, a former US president, was also seen with him.
