Gibert and Annette’s daughter Laura was born on November 12, 1956, in Omena, Michigan. Gilbert, Deibel’s late father, was a B24 bomber pilot in World War II for the US Army Air Force Corps’ 5th Army Air Force in the Western Pacific Theater. Gilbert was born in Saginaw, Michigan.
The father of AD Laura retired from the military as a 1st Lieutenant and went on to work as a lawyer with Cook, Nash, and Deibel in the Saginaw region.
The Leelanau Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that fought against the development of the Omena Point region, originally had Annette Deibel as a director. One of Gilbert and Annette’s three daughters, Laura is the ex-wife of the Emmy nominee. Andrea Muladore and Roxanne Deibel are her sisters.
Tim and Deibel first connected at school. The college friend began dating soon after and eventually got married in 1984. They were married for 15 years until calling it quits in 1999. Four years after their separation, the former couple finalized their divorce.
Laura, a Michigan native, filed for a formal separation from Allen in Los Angeles Superior Court in 1999. Laura was the one who made the divorce request. Deibel stated that the main cause was irreconcilable differences.
The former couple received joint custody of their daughter Katherine, who was 13 years old at the time the divorce was finalized.
The Causes of Deibel and Allen’s Divorce
Tim’s demanding schedule and lack of family time were two of the purported factors for Laura and Tim’s marriage breakdown. In the late 1990s, Allen personally told The Detroit News that it was true.
The father of two claimed that while working for the magazine, he devoted so much time to furthering his profession that he “let his family slide.”
According to rumors, The 3 Geezersactor worked from Monday to Friday and even went out for cocktails with buddies on the weekends. Allen had started to become addicted to alcohol at the same time, which eventually forced him to enter treatment.

Additionally, according to some sources, Allen used to occasionally irritate his ex-wife Laura. Rob Cowin, a longtime friend and business partner of the surreal comic who is also the godfather of his daughter, once said that Allen would occasionally return home unexpectedly and “drive [Deibel] crazy.”

Alleged Cheating by Allen Against Laura Deibel
Allen allegedly had many affairs with Laura while they were married. Additionally, the former couple’s conflicts over little to major decisions contributed to their breakup. For instance, the pair used to argue about their vacations; Tim used to insist that they go to the Ferrari Factory while Laura would prefer to travel to Europe.
Additionally, they would quarrel about having children; the comedian desired more, but Laura is said to have disagreed. Their argument intensified over time, and eventually, they split apart.
Allen acknowledged he wasn’t connecting with Laura and overdrank in an interview with Parade in 2011. His words are
I loved the times I was able to interact with my younger kid now because I was so absent-minded throughout my first marriage. Even if it’s not my style to play tea party on the ground, I’ll do it because the memory will last a lifetime.
