Gibert and Annette’s daughter Laura was born on November 12, 1956, in Omena, Michigan. Gilbert, Deibel’s late father, was a B24 bomber pilot in World War II for the US Army Air Force Corps’ 5th Army Air Force in the Western Pacific Theater. Gilbert was born in Saginaw, Michigan.

The father of AD Laura retired from the military as a 1st Lieutenant and went on to work as a lawyer with Cook, Nash, and Deibel in the Saginaw region.

Tim’s demanding schedule and lack of family time were two of the purported factors for Laura and Tim’s marriage breakdown. In the late 1990s, Allen personally told The Detroit News that it was true.

The father of two claimed that while working for the magazine, he devoted so much time to furthering his profession that he “let his family slide.”
