Barbara Gustern, according to her Facebook page, was a voice teacher who went on to study psychology at Columbia and DePauw Universities. According to her Facebook page, she also attended Boonville High School in Indiana and was residing in New York.

The authorities confirmed that Lauren Pazienza pushed Gustern to the ground, causing her to get a head injury and require five days in the hospital. The lady perished after a five-day fight.
