Following a protracted fight with cancer, BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap, 59, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 3, 2023, at a private hospital in Baner.
When the Chinchwad MLA was admitted to a private hospital more than two months ago, he was put on ventilator support.
His Pimple Gurav residence will receive the body at 2 o’clock, and from 3 to 6 o’clock, members of the public may pay their respects there. Additionally, his family made a statement stating the funeral would begin at 7 o’clock.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister, paid respect and praised Laxman Jagtap, a famous politician from Pimpri-Chinchwad. He also complimented the late lawmaker for his services as an MLA to advance his district.
The Chief Minister said, “With his passing, the BJP lost a strong Leader and a devoted supporter.”
