Two and a half hours later, after spending that time at the gas station, he was found dead inside his pickup.
In his car, police found heroin, marijuana, anabolic steroids, and a syringe. It was later confirmed that he had overdosed on heroin. Leanna Green and Matthew were living together and Matthew was engaged to her. Matthew previously wed Julie Ansara in 1993. However, their union did not last, and they separated in 1995.
