Coorlim began his career as a writer in 1998 at CBS-affiliated KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon. He served as a Producer for Fox-affiliated KPTV from 2000 until 2003. He later worked as a producer for Fox Television News at WGTV in Washington until 2008. In 2008, Coorlim joined CNN. With documentaries and specials for the network such as ‘Be the Change,’ ‘Witness to War,’ and ‘Sumatra: Paradise Lost?’ he has bewildered the globe. He also took part in the fight against human trafficking. Coorlim oversees CNN’s environmental programming, having produced both of the network’s long-running series, ‘Eco-Solutions’ and ‘Going Green.’
He has also produced a number of documentaries on the subject, including ‘Mirador: The Forgotten City,’ ‘The Fall of the Khmer: A Climate Change Catastrophe,’ and the ‘CNN/YouTube Climate Change Debate,’ which took place during the 2009 COP15 climate summit in Copenhagen. Leif’s documentary Innocence for Sale later won the CINE Golden Eagle Award in 2010. He has also been a driving force behind CNN International’s “Impact Your World” project, which urges its global audience to take action and make a difference in response to the stories they see.
