Stroud is the prominent personality in the survivalist culture as a no-nonsense explorer and is most known for the survival genre of the reality TV series Survivorman. He still stands as a true survivor, avoiding all kinds of problems, despite all the disasters.
Les’s recycling abilities are just as impressive as the way his distinctive skill set is applied consistently in his survivor series. He devoted an entire show, Off the Grid with Les Stroud, to this talent, converting an ancient farmhouse on a property using solar and wind energy as well as other little modifications.

He is a successful musician as well, which he adds to his other skills. The Survivorman star received a music degree from Fanshawe College in London. Stroud has a handsome net worth of $5.5 million from his profession. Les Stroud’s Wild Harvest, a new program that Stroud will begin producing in 2021, debuted on October 1st, 2020.
Les Stroud- Relationship, Married Life
After he and his wife Susan Jamison Stroud began to have significant issues in their marriage, which ultimately led to divorce, Stroud’s difficult times began.
Raylan and Logan Stroud are two of Les’s children; he married Susan in 1994. Les even depicted the couple’s one-year honeymoon in the acclaimed Ontario documentary Snowshoes and Solitude after they got married.
Their partnership ended in divorce in late 2008, therefore the story did not have a happy conclusion. Stroud also almost escaped death in a serious car accident on July 10, 2015, in Mongolia. The Toyota Land Cruiser he was riding in with the other three crew members crashed while he was inside.
He described it as follows:
“I and the other three persons in the car are blessed to be alive, and a million people right now have it a lot worse off than I do. So, I feel like a… whining, but thought I would offer a short update – all this said – this hurts like hell!”
Les was found to have a pierced lung, dislocated shoulder, broken ribs, and torn chest muscles. In addition, Stroud’s son Logan spent six months in the hospital after receiving a leukemia diagnosis. Survivorman & Son is a survivor show that the father-and-son team co-hosts.
Stroud told FOX411 about his experience recording a show with his son and made the following remarks:
If I’m being completely honest, it did have a far more significant meaning for me. Logan’s being with me after what we had just gone through, barely 18 months prior, makes what has been “Survivorman” for me over the past 15 years that much more significant.
