Justice demands and public outcry were triggered by the disturbing footage.

Report on Lesandro Guzman-autopsy Feliz

Dr. Sophia Rodriguez, the medical examiner, testified that Junior bled to death because the knife used to stab him went all the way through his neck.

She displayed gory images of Junior’s deadly stabbing wound, which included a sizable hole on one side and a puncture wound on the other.

Dr. Rodriguez clarified that Junior’s jugular vein was severed as the 4 1/2-inch-deep knife passed laterally across his neck, slicing through muscle, veins, and tissue. It was established that the cause of death was a neck stab wound.

The horrific damage was described in court, and audible gasps could be heard.

According to Dr. Rodriguez, Junior might have survived if pressure had been applied and he had been taken to the local hospital sooner.

However, surveillance footage showed Junior clutching his injured neck and attempting to flee to the hospital before collapsing and dying on the pavement.

Across a large portion of his body, Junior sustained multiple injuries in addition to the fatal wound to his neck. His hands, legs, back, and face were all covered in wounds.

In her testimony, the examiner said that Junior’s back and leg wounds were consistent with being dragged across the floor.

Junior had placed his hands up in an attempt to protect his face, as evidenced by the protective wounds on his hands, which were probably from a knife.

Lesandro Guzman-Feliz: Reason for passing away

Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, then 15 years old, left his Bronx apartment at 11:30 p.m. on June 20, 2018, to meet a buddy.

He was out when he saw some suspicious-looking cars and took off, only to be pursued by gang members in those cars.

Junior attempted to hide at the intersection of Bathgate Avenue and 183rd Street, a neighboring bodega, but the men found him.

More than a dozen men brandishing knives and machetes savagely attacked Junior both inside and outside the bodega, according to security footage from the establishment and cell phone footage from a bystander.

Junior was brutally attacked after being seen and taken back outside, despite the store owner’s first attempts to protect him.

Junior was led back outside, where the vicious attack persisted, despite having temporarily managed to escape back inside the bodega.

The films then show Junior staggering to the entrance of St. Barnabas Hospital, which is located one block away, before he collapses on the security booth’s steps, a short distance from the doors.

Minutes after the first attack, Junior succumbed to his severe injuries, despite witnesses’ best efforts to console him in his final moments.

The bodega owner, who suffered psychologically and emotionally after seeing Junior killed, was among those who attempted to assist Junior and were greatly affected by the tragic event.

The public was outraged by the gruesome footage because an innocent 15-year-old child had been killed needlessly.
