Reed stated in an interview from 2018 that one of his responsibilities is to invest in oncology projects at businesses that concentrate on cancer research.

In his lifetime, Steve has been in several relationships, but none of them lasted very long. However, everything changed when he met Laurene in 1989. The late inventor stumbled upon his future bride sitting in the front row while delivering a lecture at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Steve was completely smitten when he first saw her. His admiration for her beauty drove him to approach her in the parking lot following his speech to make a date request.

They married on March 18th, 1999, after a few months of dating. After Steve’s tragic death in 2011, their blissful marriage came to an end.
