According to a new autopsy report, Leslie Jordan died as a result of sudden cardiac failure. The “Call Me Kat” actress died on October 24 at the age of 67. According to a new report obtained by NBC News from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, Leslie Jordan died of “sudden cardiac dysfunction” caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
Jordan died in a car accident on October 24, at the age of 67. According to the medical examiner’s report, the beloved “Call Me Kat” star swerved his car into another vehicle before colliding with a building. Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Jordan’s body was autopsied, and an autopsy revealed moderate to severe atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with 80% stenosis of the left anterior descending artery, 50% stenosis of the left circumflex artery, and 20% stenosis of the right coronary artery.
Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease was the cause of death for Leslie Jordan
A toxicology report found no evidence of alcohol or drugs. Jordan’s death has been classified as natural. The presence of more than 70% occlusion of any coronary artery, according to the report, greatly increases the risk of a sudden cardiac event.
The medical examiner’s report comes just two weeks after Dolly Parton surprised Jordan with an emotional video tribute that aired during the Jan. 5 winter premiere of “Call Me Kat.”
Parton, 77, performed a few lines from “Where the Soul Never Dies,” a song she and Jordan recorded together for Jordan’s 2021 album “Company’s Coming,” before telling the late “Will & Grace” star how much she adored him.
“You’ve left a lot of people here with precious, precious memories.” “Everybody loved you, but I doubt many of them loved you more than I did,” Parton explained.
