Levi Kilcher comes from a vast family of television stars. The Kilchers have their own Discovery Channel show called “Alaska: The Last Frontier,” which tells the globe how they live in Alaska on their homestead, which lacks central heating and plumbing. Levi doesn’t appear much on the show, preferring to remain behind the scenes, therefore little is known about his personal life. Let’s learn more about his age, wife, children, and career.
What is the Net Worth of Levi Kilcher? Salary, Earnings
According to sources, Levi’s net worth is over $550,000 as of 2022. Some of this is from the show “Alaska: The Last Frontier,” but the majority is from his professional job, which pays up to $120,000 per year. His or his wife, Jessie’s, income has not been disclosed. They both work hard at various jobs and maintain a lively social life, taking part in a variety of events, campaigns, and studies.
Levi Kilcher- Birth, Age, Ethnicity, Siblings
Levi Kilcher was born on March 9, 1981, in Homer, Alaska, United States. Sharon Mckemie is his mother’s name, but nothing further is known about her age or present work. His father’s name is Otto Kilcher, and he is 67 years old in 2019. He fixes everything around the house but never quits working in farming and cattle keeping. Levi has a brother, Eivin Kilcher, as well as half-brothers August Kilcher, the son of Otto and his third wife, Charlotte, and Torrey, the son of Charlotte and her first husband, to whom she was married prior to Otto.
It’s worth noting that Levi is related to famed pop and country artist Jewel — their fathers are siblings, and they have a grandfather, Yuly Kilcher, who was a Swiss immigrant who went to Alaska during WWII in search of a safer environment for his family. Jewel was taken to the homestead when she was around four years old, and she remembers it fondly despite the fact that it was a difficult place to live: ‘No running water, no heat—we had a coal furnace and an outhouse, and we mostly survived off what we could kill, catch, or cann.’ We went berry picking and jam making. We caught fish to freeze and had gardens and cattle to live on…> I had a great time there.’
Education Details
Kilcher, like his brother Eivin Kilcher, attended Homer High School for official education, while his father Otto Kilcher also home-schooled him in the several critical skills required to thrive in Alaska’s harsh climate. Levi earned his Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from Oregon State University in 2010, and he specializes in tidal processes, ocean turbulence, and surface waves.
Levi Kilcher- Relationship, Married Life
Most of the audience is unaware of Levi’s personal life because he keeps it private. On Levi’s private Facebook profile, there are a few images of him and a mysterious girl (who could be his girlfriend at the time). Levi hugs and kisses the girl in the photos, implying that they were dating at the time the photos were taken. The photos were posted in 2015, and they serve as a guide to Jessie Luna, the girl in the shots, who shares all of Levi’s married life secrets on her Facebook page.
Jessie Luna studied Global Ecology and Sustainable Development at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. She also studied Sociology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2018. She is an Assistant Professor at Colorado State University and a former Fulbright Research Fellow. Jessie enjoys riding, hitchhiking, and exploring new places.
Levi and Jessie had their first child, Jade Luna Kilcher, in September 2017. Jade, according to Jessie, altered their lives and provided happiness and love to their family. They spend a lot of their free time together.

“Alaska: The Last Frontier”
Levi’s family is constantly filming for the Discovery Channel’s TV show “Alaska: The Last Frontier,” which has been airing since December 29, 2011. The show depicts the narrative of a family who lives on their homestead in Alaska, and details of their daily agricultural life have been followed for eight seasons. Otto and Charlotte raise and gather hay for their cows, and Charlotte looks after the cows by milking them, storing the milk, and preparing cheese and cream. They also have calves that help with milking, and because the calves stay with their mother-cows, the Kilchers don’t have as strict a milking schedule as other farmers. Charlotte also looks after ducks and chickens, which provide an infinite supply of eggs; they don’t have to cull the hens because they usually die of old age.
The Kilchers also make their sweetener from birch syrup, and they began beekeeping to obtain honey for sweetening and as a base for mead, an alcoholic drink made from fermented honey and water.
Levi made an appearance in a few episodes, most notably in the sixth episode of the sixth season when Otto was recovering from surgery; Levi returns to their property to assist his brother Eivin in leading the annual cattle drive, which takes place every spring. He also featured in additional episodes in the background, despite the fact that he never tried/doesn’t want to be a show star.
