He is an Australian pitcher who is a Major League Baseball (MLB) player for the Chicago Cubs. Throughout his career, he has had several high spots, all of which have helped him succeed.

Hendriks joined the Minnesota Twins organization in 2011 and made his Major League Baseball debut. That season, he pitched 66 innings with a 3.21 ERA, went 4-0, and made 11 starts.

Baseball America awarded him the Minor League Pitcher of the Year Award in 2012 based on his 2.20 ERA in Double-A and Triple-A play that year.
