Sandi Graham Is From An Ashkenazi Jewish Family
Graham was born in Canada on January 28th, 1960, to a Jewish family with Ashkenazi Jewish roots. Graham’s birthday is January 28th. On the day that Americans traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving, her mother, Evelyn Sher, died away in 2012.
Drake, Sandi’s son, maintained a very strong relationship with his mother. In many songs, the Degrassi star has credited her as being his inspiration, and he has also discussed how she was instrumental in his upbringing. Some of his songs, such as “Look What I’ve Done,” which he released in 2011, even incorporate voicemails that she sent him.
Sandi’s son named a sports and entertainment club after her and dedicated it to her in the city of Toronto, Canada, where he was born and raised. The club is known as the SherClub. Sandi had suffered the loss of a sibling the previous year, in 2012.
Sandi and Dennis first crossed paths in a bar in which Dennis was employed. Dennis, her ex-husband, is a devout Catholic who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a drummer in his younger days.
Graham’s ex-husband hails from a musical family in Memphis and at one point worked as a drummer for rock and roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis. Graham’s family has a long history of musical achievement. the eighties, he uprooted his life and moved to Toronto, where he met Sandi for the first time at a club named Club Bluenote, which was once again a venue where he worked.
In subsequent years, they got a divorce, which occurred while Drake was only five years old. In an interview, Drake explained that the key factor leading to his divorce from Sandi was his father’s decision to begin his career at a young age.

Following the couple’s divorce, Ms. Graham was awarded sole custody of Drake. The mother and son team continued to reside in Toronto after that, while Dennis relocated to Memphis. Graham spent the majority of her time raising her kid on Weston Road in Toronto, which is located on the city’s working-class west side.
Later on, when Drake was in the sixth grade, his mother, who is now 61 years old, relocated to a wealthier section of town with him called Forest Hill.
Drake’s parents have a relationship with one another, however, they do not live together. On Sandi’s birthday in 2021, Dennis even paid her a heartfelt tribute and wished her well. When Drake was awarded Artist of the Decade at the Billboard Music Awards in May of 2021, his parents were present and mutually celebrated their son’s achievement.

Drake is not bashful about paying tribute to his mother in the lyrics of his songs and tweets across his various social media platforms.
