Lil Pump- Biography

Lil Pump is a well-known American rapper and record producer best known for his smash tune ‘Gucci Gang.’ Lil Pump grew up in a rough neighborhood in Miami, Florida, where he was born into a Mexican family. Despite his academic abilities, he was more interested in rap music. He began rapping freestyle at the age of 15 after being inspired by Chie Keef and a few other rappers. Soon after, he began a music career with his best friend, Smokepurpp.

The producers decided that Lil would freestyle over a rap rhythm provided by Smokepurpp. The resulting music was dubbed ‘Lil Pump,’ and it made its premiere on ‘SoundCloud’ in 2016. Because of their early popularity, Lil and his companion went on to record numerous more songs. They quickly became online sensations. In August 2017, he released the track ‘Gucci Gang.’ The song was his first commercial triumph on a large scale. Later that year, the self-titled album was released, and it was a huge success. Following that, he stated that his second album, ‘Harverd Dropout,’ would be published in 2018.

Gazzy Garcia was born on August 17, 2000, in Miami, Florida, to a Cuban mother and a Mexican father. He was raised in a lower-middle-class neighborhood, which contributed to his aggressive demeanor. He got into a lot of fights in school and was never a well-behaved student.

Lil soon became addicted to drugs. He would frequently consume large amounts of marijuana, and his academic performance suffered as a result. He was a liar and was expelled from nearly every high school he attended as a youth. Lil has once severely beaten a female. In another instance, he instigated a brawl at school, which resulted in his expulsion. The school was closed down as a result of the riot he started. The police were forced to intervene in order to bring the rioters under control. He soon began distributing drugs.

Lil was interested in rap music but never envisaged himself making a career out of it. He mostly paid attention to Chief Keef.
When he was 13 years old, he formed a friendship with a teenage music producer named Smokepurpp. One of his cousins introduced him to Smokepurpp. They frequently became friends via drugs and other criminal activities. Lil Pump was soon drawn to Smokepurpp’s sound.
He had dropped out of school by the time he was 15 years old. Because he was close to Smokepurpp, he began attending recording studios more frequently.

As Lil Pump became increasingly involved in the music production process, he formed a gang alongside Smokepurpp and began engaging in illegal actions like beating up people and breaking into residences. Lil eventually decided to teach himself how to compose music. Despite working hard on his tracks, he had difficulty finding artists willing to use his songs. Pump decided to make freestyle music since he couldn’t locate suitable artists or lyrics. Smokepurpp was impressed by what he heard and inspired Pump to write his own raps. Pump first avoided such recommendations but eventually decided to go ahead with them.

The resulting track, titled ‘Lil Pump,’ was released on ‘SoundCloud.’ The song went on to become a great hit on the site. This prompted them to release numerous more songs, including ‘Elementary,’ ‘Ignorant,’ ‘Gang Shit,’ and ‘Drum$tick.’ Each of these songs received millions of “views.” They became optimistic about a successful future in rap music. Lil Pump rose to prominence in the South Florida underground rap scene as a result of his success. His music exemplified ‘SoundCloud Rap,’ a phrase coined by listeners in response to the increasing number of rap artists submitting their work to the network. The pump was invited to participate in the ‘No Jumper’ tour in 2016 as a result of his fame on ‘SoundCloud.’ He also took part in the ‘Rolling Loud Festival.’

Pump released two singles in 2017 titled ‘D Rose’ and ‘Boss,’ both of which smashed all of his prior records. They have amassed over 70 million hits on ‘SoundCloud.’ Because of their growing fame, a Chicago-based director called Cole Bennett volunteered to direct music videos for them for free. In early 2017, the music video for ‘D Rose’ was released. Within a year, it has received over 140 million views on ‘YouTube.’ Several record labels had approached Lil Pump by that point. He joined with Warner Bros. Records and Tha Lights Global.
It was later proven, however, that he was still a minor when he signed the deal with ‘Warner Bros.’ The transaction was illegal, and the contract was ruled null and void in January 2018.

Previously, in mid-2017, Lil stated that he was working on his debut studio album, which was set to be released later that year. The album was planned to be released in August, however, it was postponed. He released a song called ‘Gucci Gang’ in August, which became his first significant breakthrough success single. The song was posted on ‘SoundCloud’ in late August and quickly became his biggest success. It peaked at number three on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ list. Although the song was commercially successful, it was widely panned, particularly for its repetitious character. Several parodies of the song have been created and posted on various social media platforms.

Lil’s debut self-titled studio album was released in October 2017 to great immediate acclaim. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 list. Lil continued to work with his rap idol, Chief Keef. The album sold over 500,000 copies in the United States alone and was certified “gold” by the ‘Recording Industry Association of America’ (RIAA).

Following the expiration of his contract with ‘Warner Bros.,’ several major record labels sought to sign him. He did, however, opt to sign a new contract with ‘Warner Bros.’ He stated in March that he was working on his second album, ‘Harverd Dropout,’ which was set to be released in August. Prior to the release of the album, the singles ‘Drug Addicts’ and ‘Esskeetit’ were released.

Personal Existence

Lil Pump was arrested in February 2018 for discharging a bullet into his home. His mother was caught as well for endangering a minor and keeping a hazardous handgun in her home.

Despite the fact that no official confirmation of his relationship has been made, he continues to refer to Miranda Cosgrove as his girlfriend. In various social media posts, he has invoked her name.

In March 2018, he aroused outrage when he posted a picture of himself with a child and announced online that he and Miranda had a daughter.
