Shelby Foose is his mother’s name. Kamrin Houser, his younger brother, is a rapper who goes by the moniker Heartbreak Kid. Lil Skies is a 2016 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Lil Skies- Professional Career

He has had a passion for music since he was a child. He began freestyling at the age of three. His father was hurt at work and had to stay at home as a result of his injuries. During that period, Lil Skies worked on his debut project, Birth of Skies Vol.1, alongside his father. Later, they released an album called Father-Son Talk that addressed the rehabilitation process. Lil Skies supported Fetty Wap at the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 2016. He released his first mixtape, Alone, a year later. He went on to release a couple of singles in the same year, including Red Roses and Off The Goop. He went on a nationwide tour with Lil Uzi Vert in 2017.

He began to gain notoriety, and Atlantic Records signed him. Life of a Dark Rose, his debut major-label mixtape, was released on January 10, 2018. It debuted at #23 on the Billboard 200 list and quickly rose to #10 in a short period. In February 2020, the RIAA awarded the mixtape Platinum certification. He began his Life of a Dark Rose tour, but owing to sickness, he was forced to end the tour. Lust, his music video, was released in May 2018. Later, he released I Know You, which was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Shelby, Lil Skies’ debut studio album, was released in 2019 and is named after his mother. Later that year, he collaborated on the song Burning Memories with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. He released the song Havin’ My Way in March 2020, which featured Lil Durk. In July 2020, he also released the single Red and Yellow from the Road to Fast 9 mixtape. Through Atlantic Records, he has signed with All We Got Entertainment.
