Young and talented, Linda Caicedo plays professional football for Colombia. She is a forward for Real Madrid of the Primera Divison and the Colombian women’s national team.
With America de Cali, she made her professional debut at age 14.

Colombians are Herlinda Alegria and Mauricio Caicedo, who are Linda Caicedo’s parents.
From an early age, they nurtured her football enthusiasm.
Her parents reared her in the little rural community of Candelaria, Colombia, which is only 17 miles from Cali, the third-largest city in the nation.
Since she was a little child, Caicedo has been enthusiastic about soccer, and both her parents have always urged her to achieve her dreams.
Herlinda, Linda’s mother, said in a podcast interview for My New Favorite Futbolista that Linda began playing soccer even before she was born.

When she was five years old, Mauricio and Herlinda brought her to Candelaria’s little youth soccer team, Club Real Juanchito. She met the vice president of the club Diego Vasquez, who saw her talent right away.
When Linda was five years old, according to Diego, she came to his club holding her mother’s hand.
Later, Linda’s skills developed to the next level required by the club.
She is really lucky to have been raised in a family who supported and pushed her to succeed professionally at such a young age.
