The proposal occurred on Dune Beach in Southampton and was recorded for the upcoming season of Summer House. Carl convinced Lindsay that they were heading to a campfire in order to propose.
Lindsay, with whom she has been in a relationship since the beginning of 2022, was greeted at the location with an intimate picnic. The picnic followed a lengthy and lovely proposal.
Carl claimed he concealed the engagement ring in a beach bag and proposed to Lindsay, stating, “Our love story was just beginning.” Lindsay responded to his question with “One million times yes!”

Lindsay and Carl were among the program’s original cast members when it premiered on Bravo in the summer of 2017. During their fourth trip to the Hamptons in 2019, they attempted to expand their friendship into romance.
As Carl acknowledged that he did not want to be in a committed relationship with the Summer House actress, tensions emerged between them. Later, in Lindsay’s presence, he asked out a fitness instructor.
Lindsay took to Instagram to discuss the situation, and Carl admitted that alcohol may have influenced his decision. During promotion for the fourth season of Summer House, he told Entertainment Tonight:
Lindsay is a beautiful young woman. You are drinking and having fun while I am single… They recommend dating your best friend. Typically, this works quite well. A couple of mornings I awakened without knowing what had transpired the previous evening.
Afterward, the Summer House pair maintained their relationship and supported one another during difficult times. In the fifth season of the program, Lindsay consoled Carl as his brother passed away.
In October 2021, Carl declared that he had completed 10 months of sobriety. As soon as they shared images of themselves on social media together, their relationship revived in the press.
Even on Halloween, they dressed as a pair. Ultimately, in January 2022, Carl revealed to US Weekly that the couple was dating.
He declared:
“I’m happy to inform you that we’re dating and that everything is going great. We’re ecstatic. She has been a significant part of my life for many years… I mean, we induce uncontrollable laughter in one another. Never before have I felt more myself than when I’m with her. That is too robust for me.”
In addition, the Summer House actor stated that the two became romantically involved around the end of production for season 6 in September 2021. Carl, on the other hand, stated he was initially worried because Lindsay was his closest friend and remarked:
There have recently been more feelings. We spend a lot of time together. I cannot count the number of times our acquaintances have remarked, “Well, what about…?”
Essentially, you continuously consider me and Lindsay. And I fled from it for unknown reasons. Because dating your closest friend is terrifying, I was afraid.
Since then, they have hung out, traveled, spent time with each other’s families, and attended award ceremonies and red carpets together. In May 2022, the couple revealed to US Weekly that they were planning to move in together.
Carl stated they were “very serious, in love, and very happy” and relocating to a “whole new place.” The 37-year-old man elaborated:
“We are thrilled to start this new chapter together.” “Living together is a significant step, but we’ve been doing it for over a year by just alternating residences.”
Other Summer House cast members were present to observe the occasion. Among them were Kyle Cooke, Danielle Olivera, Paige DeSorbo, Mya Allen, and Andrea Denver.
According to PEOPLE, Carl proposed with a “sparkling Nicole Rose ring with a 3.5-carat square brilliant cut cushion and two half-moon diamonds on the sides.”
The couple then celebrated at Dockers Waterside Marina & Restaurant with friends and relatives. Hubbard’s father and stepmother traveled from Florida to attend the couple’s wedding.
