The organizers of Camp Bestival have revealed that Primal Scream and Rudimental will be among the headliners for the festival’s second year in Shropshire.
On August 17, the family festival will return to Weston Park following a “smash first year” there.
The Human League will be the headlining act at the new sister event to the Dorset festival, along with Confidence Man, East 17, and Melanie C.
The Big Camp Fancy Dress Parade will be one of the new attractions. To get ready for the parade, attendees can construct their costumes or stop by the site’s Dressing Up tent.
Last year’s festival, which drew thousands of visitors to Weston Park near the border of Shropshire and Staffordshire, was hailed by organizers as a big success.
The curators of Camp Bestival, Josie, and Rob da Bank, stated while announcing the 2023 lineup: “Well, we only went and established a new festival didn’t we? The location, the climate, the throng, and the atmosphere were all perfect.
Oh, and we took our kids paddle-boarding around a lovely lake. A fantasy! We’re planning to raise the bar even higher in 2023 by adding a brand-new camp fancy dress parade, raft building, and a ton of hip new tiny pop-ups to the main stage along with major pop acts and indie giants.
Primal Scream, whose discography spans more than 35 years and includes anthems like “Movin’ On Up,” was announced as the headlining act. Rudimental, meanwhile, would be making a comeback with a blend of “era-defining pop hits.”
The Human League will “bring us back to the 80s with sing-along bangers like Don’t You Want Me” in the meanwhile.
The line-up also includes alternative rock band Pop Will Eat Itself and West Midlands-born Napalm Death, pioneers of death metal in the UK, according to the organizers.
The four-day festival also included yoga, meditation, and wild swimming in addition to a circus performance by Cirque Bijou.
