Lisa Marie Presley’s Death Cause; What Killed Her?

For the time being, numerous sources suggest Lisa died as a result of a heart attack. According to TMZ sources, the Now What singer complained of stomach symptoms early Thursday morning. It seems to have become increasingly intense. She had been feeling it since attending the 2022 Golden Globe Awards.

An autopsy report or the official cause of death, however, is still awaiting. Until further notice, a heart attack has been the leading theory or supposition as the reason of Lisa’s death. It ran in her family, as both her father, Elvis, and her paternal grandmother died of heart attacks at the young ages of 42 and 46, respectively.

Whatever the case, there is now no evidence of foul play in her death. Lisa “coded multiple times” following the cardiac arrest, according to Page Six. According to the source, there were no narcotics at the site.

Lisa Marie Presley: What Happened Before Her Death?

Lisa went to the hospital on Thursday after having a heart arrest. Lisa’s housekeeper discovered the Lights Out singer comatose on Thursday morning, according to TMZ.

At 10:37 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the 5000 block of Normandy Dr in Agoura Hills, Calabasas, California, for a cardiac arrest. Lisa was a resident at that address, according to real estate records.

Meanwhile, the Dirty Laundry singer’s ex-husband, Danny Keough, with whom she was living at the time, administered CPR until paramedics arrived.

Six minutes later, medical personnel arrived on the site. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, EMTs conducted CPR and ‘discovered that the Tennessee-born singer had signs of life.’ They brought her pulse back and transported her to the hospital.

Due to privacy rules, Lisa’s name was first kept private. Lisa arrived at West Hills Hospital at 11:47 a.m., according to paramedics.

Following that, physicians immediately placed her on life support, placing her in an induced coma beside a temporary pacemaker. Lisa’s hospitalization was initially reported by TMZ, and then confirmed by The People Magazine.

Lisa’s mother, Priscilla, then informed that her daughter had been brought to the hospital.

Lisa’s Death and the Reactions of Her Family

Unfortunately, Elvis’ ex-wife revealed the news of her daughter’s death approximately an hour after learning of Lisa’s hospitalization.

Priscilla announced the devastating news on Instagram, writing,

With a heavy heart, I must break the heartbreaking news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has died. She was the most fervent, strong, and loving woman I had ever met.

Priscilla also asked privacy and expressed gratitude for everyone’s love and prayers. She also stated that there would be no comment.

The Presleys are still keeping their silence.

Presley’s final public appearance was at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. Priscilla Presley, her actress mother, also attended the ceremony. The mother-daughter team was in attendance for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, a biopic about her late father. Austin Butler, who played Lisa’s father, Elvis, won the best actor in a drama film award that night.

Lisa was the lone heir to her father’s fortune, Elvis. She was also the heir of the Grammy-winning singer’s Memphis Tennessee Graceland. Lisa, Elvis’ daughter, came in town a few days before the Golden Globes to commemorate her father’s birth anniversary on January 8. Lisa herself was having her 55th birthday in 20 days.

Lisa was the mother of Mad Max actor Riley Keough, as well as Harper and Finley Lockwood, twin children. She had a son, Benjamin, who committed suicide in 2020. Navarone Garibaldi, the son of Priscilla Presley and Marco Garibaldi, is Marie’s stepbrother.
