Frenchpark native Lucy Croghan, who unfortunately died at the age of four, was a little child. She had a fatal condition, and many people had been moved by her struggle with it.
Lucy, despite being young, impressed all who knew her by displaying courage and resilience during her arduous journey.
As her narrative inspired others who were impacted by her bravery, her loss caused great grief in her town and beyond.

The news of Lucy Croghan’s passing was delivered with a deep sense of grief. The four-year-old daughter passed away painlessly on June 26, 2023.
After demonstrating great bravery and dignity during her protracted sickness, she sought comfort in her mother Zara’s warm hug.
Lucy was a native of Frenchpark, County Roscommon’s An Choirrsceach. She will be sadly mourned and will always be remembered as Warrior Princess.
She was predeceased by her newborn sister Lisa and her recently gone grandma Zaneta (Dee).
With visitation taking place all day on Wednesday, Lucy will lay in repose at home starting at 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
She will be buried at Cloonshanville Cemetery after the “Mass of the Angels,” a funeral service, on Thursday at noon at St. Asicus’ Church in Frenchpark.
The family has the morning of Thursday free for solitude. For those who couldn’t attend, there is a link provided where they may watch the Funeral Mass online.

Sean, Luke, Andy, Aaron, Siobhan, and Amy Croghan, along with their parents, Zara and Sean, are devastated by the loss of Lucy Croghan.
Regarding Lucy’s parents, not much is made known. They do feel terrible about losing their helpless little child.
Her grandparents, uncles, aunts, family members, and a large group of acquaintances are all mourning her death.
The GoFundMe fundraiser for Lucy and her family was started by Sarah Dowd, who delivered the heartbreaking update this morning, Tuesday.
She said it was difficult to put the news into words. She said that the brave young princess Lucy exited this earth yesterday night soon before 10:00 p.m.
Lucy passed away peacefully since she was surrounded by everyone who genuinely loved her.
Dowd said that the entire town was driven and inspired by Lucy’s extraordinary energy.
The Fairmount, Tibohine, Frenchpark, and Ballinagare Churches’ Facebook pages stated that Lucy had joined “the Angels of God in Heaven.”
They prayed for the young girl who had gone to be with the angels of God in heaven and worried about her shattered family.
The passionate letter wished for her to experience eternal peace while being held by God.
