Parents of Luis Diaz Concerns have been raised by the missing case. Lucho Díaz is a Colombian football player who plays left flank for both the Colombia national team and Liverpool in the Premier League.
Díaz began playing professionally in the Colombian Second Division at Barranquilla. After that, he transferred to Atlético Junior, where he won three championships: Categoría Primera A, Copa Colombia, and Superliga Colombiana.
He allegedly spent €7 million to join Porto in 2019 and won two doubles of the Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal in addition to one Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.
In the first half of 2021–2022, he scored 14 goals in 18 league appearances, and Liverpool signed him for a €45 million contract.
According to an AFP report, Colombian police chief General William Salamanca has sent officers and intelligence agents to address the situation.

According to an AFP report, Colombian police chief General William Salamanca has sent officers and intelligence agents to address the Luis Diaz Parents Missing 2023 case.
Liverpool said they were “aware of an ongoing situation involving Luis Diaz’s family in Colombia” in a statement that was made public on Sunday.
“We sincerely hope that the matter is resolved safely and as soon as possible,” the statement from Liverpool said. “In the interim, the welfare of the players will remain our top priority.”
Luis Diaz has played 43 games for Colombia. Last year, he relocated from Porto to Liverpool.
Diaz was pulled out of the starting lineup for Sunday’s Premier League game against Nottingham Forest due to the abduction of his parents.
While Diaz’s mother has been located, his father is still missing and being searched for, according to the president of Colombia.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro reports that Luis Diaz, a winger for Liverpool, has been released from captors, but his father is still wanted.
On the former Twitter site X, Petro announced on Saturday that Diaz’s mother had been rescued in Barrancas, in the northern part of the nation. Petro said, “We are still searching for the father.”

Office learned of the kidnapping of Colombian player Luis Díaz’s parents in the Barrancas sector of La Guajira, “a specialized team comprising prosecutors, police, and military personnel have been working to find “the location of these people, clarify the facts, and find those responsible”,” the office stated on X.
Local media reports state that Luis Manuel Diaz and Cilenis Marulanda were kidnapped at a gas station in the La Guajira region by armed men on motorcycles.
The police director, General William Salamanca, said he sent intelligence agents together with other local law enforcement organizations to address the situation.
Liverpool expressed concern and proclaimed solidarity for Diaz. A “continuing situation” involving Luis Díaz’s family has been confirmed by Liverpool in the aftermath of reports that the forward’s parents were kidnapped in Colombia.
It has now been determined that while his mother was spared, his father is still missing. Afterward, Díaz was excluded from Liverpool’s Sunday squad to face Nottingham Forest.
